It depends on the content. If you try to encourage recycling, then you'll be praised, but your efforts will bear limited results.

If you decide you want to get 100% voter participation, you'll be praised, but also probably thwarted. You could, of course, resort to violence or threats, but I imagine that would be a sign that society had changed you.

Or you could decide you simply want to love people as they are. This will change you, and portions of society, for the better, because you will be both respectful and kind.

You can only change yourself, but by modelling the behaviors, attitudes, values etc that you think will make the world a better place, you can impact people individually and in small groups to make a positive impact on society.

Probably be crucified like Jesus or assassinated like many before you

People don't like change even if it is for the good

To open peoples minds to think for themselves is like, asking the churches to free the people from their evil control : )

Krishnamurti says that the "revolution begins from with in." So, change yourself first in the direction where you want to see society changed. :)

You have to be tough enough to be rejected by your close friends and to be crucified figuratively. You would have to walk in almost utmost perfection otherwise the spiritual forces in the world would oppress you, depress you and if you were careless--possess you.

If on a large world wide scale...you would probably be assasinated....just as Jesus was assasinated when he tried to change the world.
