Today at my second day at my job, one of the employees came up to me and she asked my name and then asked me how old I was; when I answered she was like, "Dang, I thought that you were old!" and she started laughing. I thought and still think that was rude, and I want an honest opinion from all of you on how old do I look?
That's me with make-up (only mascara & blush)

I don't have wrinkles or any type of acne scars on my face... I always thought that my skin looked nice.

OK; my real age is 17 and I'm turning 18 in four months. So was this girl just being mean for no reason? Why are people like that?

Hello!
Yes, she was being mean. You look exactly your age. Why do women do that? Because a lot of other females at work compete to see how much attention that they can get. It doesn't even have to be for Male attention. It is just to be better than the other females. Women in the work place tend to be very catty. It is like a competition once you walk in the door. If you ask an other female that can be honest with you they will tell you the same.
I would of guessed about 18 when I saw your pic, so don't sweat it. She has already won, now that you are all OMG do I look old? You look great, and you have to know you do.
Its up to you, but once you can brush people like that off. Then the rest of you life will be so much easier.
Best of luck!

I was going to guess 17 years old. (Only saw the first photo with makeup)
I would just take it that the woman at your work assumed you were a lot older and was so shocked that you were so young, and she laughed with surprise.
You don't need to take it badly or rudely.
I have always looked a lot younger than I am, so I am always getting very surprised reactions when I stated my age.
I got asked for ID for cigarettes when I was 27!!! (I quit 5 years ago btw)
Also, I have a young voice. Occasionally I get a phonecall and someone will say 'Hi, is your Mummy home' !!!! This has happened more than once.
Just take it in good humour.
PS when I click on the 2nd link - I get a photo of some glasses of water and coke on a restaurant table and some bottles of ketchup!!

That woman was just being rude to you. You don't look old at all. With makeup you look like your anywhere from 17 to 20 and without makeup you look like your 24 or 25. Maybe she was jealous because you are very pretty.

Oh, when I was 16, first day on my job, all the employees thought I was in college or beyond too. Anyways, in your first picture, you look about 16 or 17.

sometimes, wearing too much make-up (especially if you dont know the proper way of wearing them) can make you older. Because it'll make you look mature. And sometimes also, people who dont put anything colorful on their face makes them look mature also. Because the tendency is you look "pale". Maybe the best way or the best thing to do is wear them properly. Wear light make make up for day time (bec. remember less is more) and a little darker at night.
