I'm 22 and female. I exercise on average 3 time a week for an hour each time. I always do cardio type exercise and also play tennis once a week. I used to find it easy to lose weight by just cutting down on food. Lost 10 kilos over a year and now the kilos are slowly creeping back. I never splurge on chocolates or cake however I have one biscuit every second day. I eat breakfast daily (one slice of toast with cheese); drink 2 coffees per day (light milk) & for lunch I'll have a sandwich (chicken & salad), pasta or salad. For dinner; I'll eat vegies/salad with pasta or soup and either bbq meats or chicken (never fried). I drink about 1.5 litres of water per day. I work in an office with computer -intensive job so don't get to move alot.. I can't understand why the kilo's aren't coming off? Could it be my metabolism slowing down ? I have also noticed I'm getting a bit of a tummy.... Does anyone have these problems or can someone help me lose some weight??

This may seem strange to you but the Book called Eat 4 Your Type by Dr, Peter J. D'Adamos is very interesting. This is a lifelong diet that revolves around your own bloodtype. Certain foods are meant to be eaten by each of us. I,m personally on this diet for life and I know numerous individuals that are on it. I got on it because I am very sick. I,ve gotten better in just the few weeks I,ve been on it and you naturally lose weight on this diet which is not strict. There just has to be changes made in your diet as any other diet would require. Check the book out its awesome!

I will try to keep it simple. Your metabolism is basically the rate at which your body burns calories to create energy. So the faster your metabolism, the faster you burn calories and the easier it is to lose unwanted weight. To boost your metabolism naturally you just need to eat the right foods.

You can sit down and literally eat a 1,000-calorie dinner and yet be absolutely starving just a few hours later and the reason is simple: Because your body didnt get what it needed in those 1,000 calories so it sends signals to your brain telling you to ingest more calories and thus, the late-night cravings. That means that the surest way to end those late-night cravings and keep your weight loss goals on track is to eat a more balanced, nutritious diet that actually gives your body what it needs.

It's VERY EASY to lose weight if you eat the right foods. Check out Dr. Charles Livingston's video here: http://www.sexyjese.com - it will blow your mind.

As you get older your metabolism changes and what your body needs ( your still young though so remember it gets worse before better). Try cutting some of the carbs that you intake in the day and increase your veggies/protien...also try eating 6 smaller meals instead of the 3 big meals a day.......

Good luck....also rotate your physical activity with different events..including some minor weight training to build muscle as muscle burns fat....so don't just focus on cardio incorporate other exercise into your life.

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

well to start off to be 121 pounds at any height is a great healthy balanced weight for a girl, for some people its just the way their bodies are built because it seems that you have obviously been trying to tone down, what I may suggest is.. where you said you avoid all snacks... possibly eat small snacks such as berries and grapes and other kinds of healthy fruits and what not every 2 hours or so to atleast keep your metabolism active and also i don't know if you enjoy spicy food buy just having a little bit of any kind of "spice" on your food will also kick start your metabolism
