Are you going away to have fun, like at a summer camp or other excursion? Four days is not very long, so it's not like you'll be away from your mom for weeks or months. Maybe you can contact your mom, either by phone or email, if those things are available to you. If not, just concentrate on having a good time, and the days should pass very quickly. It's perfectly normal to miss your mom, but it's just for a short time. Think about how happy you'll be to get home again. Good luck, hon.

You don't mention where you are going but surely there will be a phone there.... keep in touch with her.. but also take this as a growing up experience.. It might actually do you some good.. Whatever you are gonna be doing, have fun .. and just enjoy yourself.. 4 Days is not that long hun..

Can you call her every day?? Write to her in a jounal that you can bring home and show her. It's only 4 days. Enjoy it, when you are 16 you will wish you could get away for 4 days!
