I have an indoor/outdoor cat, spayed and declawed. She stays outside most of the summer. She loves to sit on my car but I hate the cat prints all over the hood, windshield and roof. I only have a car port to park the car in and I can't keep the cat away from the car. Is there something safe for the car I can spray on it that the cat won't like? Any other ideas? (don't want to use a car cover because their a pain in the neck.)

Well, "heb" and "Spicecat" probly won't see this, but I built a cat house for my cat long ago, its a warm, safe place. It's designed with a small opening so when another cat shows up, my cat hides in her house and the stray can't get in, or reach in far enough to attack my cat. I'd NEVER put my cat in a dangerous environment. SHE choose to be outside, we allow her in the house whenever she wants in, but thats only when its extremely cold out.

I have no clue how to collect dog piss, (lol), but it sounds like the best idea so far.

Lastly, my cat's NOT dirty. We live near a dirt road and I have to wash my car twice a week because of the dust. Even YOUR ultra clean cat, "Spicecat", would leave prints under these conditions.

Cats really dislike the scent of methol or eucalyptus oil, so maybe you could try mixing some with water and spraying car. At garden centres they often sell sprays designed to repel cats from gardens, they might be okay too. If she finds the smell offensive, she may not enjoy sitting on the car on the car.

Just a thought. Is your car the tallest object next to your house? Cats like to sit somewhere high like on the tops of walls. They feel less vulnerable and they like to survey everything that's going on around them. Could you offer her an alternative "look out post" that you could persuade her to sit on instead of your car?

try water, but a declawed cat should not be outside!! they have no way to defend themself if another cat trys to attack it!! please keep her inside and get her a window seat so she can look outside, but keep her inside, for her saftey, than u wont have to worry about cat prints on your car.
