It is never easy following what God wants rather than what our flesh is calling for us to do. But Jesus said that if anyone wants to be a disciple of Christ, he must take up his cross and follow him. It means DENYING ONE'S SELF of everything but looking only to God! It means undergoing what Christ underwent--preaching the gospel, reaching out to the poor and needy, and even being persecuted.

Yes its is easy, if you are dedicated. Some times the work is hard, but the main thing is to not be divided in your heart. You can not serve two masters. as Jesus said (Matthew 6:24) . . .“No one can slave for two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stick to the one and despise the other. YOU cannot slave for God and for Riches.

If you are looking to get ahead in this world then you are not serving God. You are only making a pretense or lip service in any devotion you might show. But know this first you need understanding, and that takes a little time and study and sounding down God's instructions to your figurative heart.
If you have personal question? see John 18:36, James 4:4

The commandments of God are not grievous.

1 John 3:5

"For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. "

Being a disciple of Christ means to abide in his word.

John 8:31

"Jesus therefore said to those Jews that had believed him, If ye abide in my word, then are ye truly my disciples; "

And Christ's yoke is easy and his burden is light.

Matthew 11:28-29

"Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. "

One of those commandments is this:

Galatians 6:2

"Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ."

Christians will bear one another's burdens in fulfilling the law of Christ. This will make it easier for the whole Christian congregation to fulfil Christ's law.

Psalms 133:1

"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity! "

UNITED in...

Philippians 1:27

"Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ: that, whether I come and see you or be absent, I may hear of your state, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one soul striving for the faith of the gospel; "

WITH ONE SOUL STRIVING FOR THE FAITH OF THE GOSPEL.

once you have made your mind up to follow after Jesus it is easier than you would have thought. I think it is harder on your family and friends that have not yet made the choice
