No, Spontaneous Abortion is a medical diagnosis used when a woman miscarriages within the first 3 months. Frequently it has to be followed by a D &C to remove placenta and other products of conception.
Missed Abortion is the Medical Diagnosis when the fetus dies but the woman does not deliver it. A D & C must be done to remove the dead fetus.
I am happy to see that most of your responders understand the difference between the word abortion used as a diagnosis and aborton used as a procedure. I worked in a Business Office of a hospital and I found many clerks were not familiar with it and jumped to conclusions when they saw the words "Spontaneous Abortion."

Well my dear since you cannot do anything to stop a spontaneous abortion then how would it make you a murderer? I am a nurse and I will tell you that your question is a bit out of line as most women who have spontaneous abortions are heartbroken over the loss. So what is your point. If it is that you are pro-choice and trying to justify the murder of an innocent infant as a means of birth control by comparing it to a spontaneous abortion sorry but no comparison there, try again.

No definitely not. I like how people ignore the fact that in the middle ages families would purposely let grown children die in the woods (Hansel and Gretel) to survive off their lack of food. That is full blown murder. Hmm I'm curious as to what the major religion of Europe was during those times...

Na, too me thats kind of like saying...im a murderer if I run over a cat darting across the street. Liberals and conservatives both piss me off,neither one respects life. Both are damn hypocrites. Liberals think it is ok to kill an unborn baby just because they wernt careful and it would be an inocoveinece, but most the time their the same people saying save the whales and end war. Conservatives are not pro life at all (like they all say)....I bet about 90% of them have no problem sinking thier teeth into a hamburger. If you truley respect life then it should go for ALL life...and not pick and choose

It could be considered a miscarriage IF you didn't do something to cause the baby to spontaneously abort. If you did then it is murder just like putting anti-freeze in someones coffee is.
Why are you so h*ll bent on protecting the right to kill innocent little babies ? I bet you are also one of those ppl who claim that President Bush is a horrible murderer because of the war in Iraq and Afghanistan.

A miscarriage is somthing that can't be controlled or chosen. Abortion is actively choosing to end a life.

Why would that make you a murderer? It's not a woman's choice to kill the baby there. Unless you take a pill or something. If it's an accidental miscarriage why would it be murder?

no but sometimes women feel guilty like they did something which is not the case, also its normal to feel sad, mad and everything in between depending on the person.
