I will be meeting with friends and i would like to know how to PHONETICALLY say in french, "I've never had this/ tried this before". By "this" i mean a food item. I wanna try escarot (spelling?). So something like, "I've never tried escarot before" in french. If you can write it in french as well as phonetically write it out in english that would help alot! Thanks!

je n'en ai jamais eu
juh (like in "duh!") nan (like in "plant", live the 'n' out) neh ja-meh-hu

je n'en ai jamais mangé
juh nan neh ja-meh man (like in "plant") jeh

Je n'ai jamais essayé ça avant
juh neh ja-meh essay-eh sa a-van (like in "plant")
(I never tried this before)

You're also right to ask: the right spelling is "escargot" (es-car-go: for once pronunciation is easy to transcribe)

juh neh ja-meh essay-eh duh man-jeh (like "plant") deses-car-go a-van

Good luck. And do try snails, they're nice

I've never had this (before) is
JE N'AI JAMAIS EU ÇA
I've never tried / tasted this
JE N'AI JAMAIS GOÛTE' ÇA

'Before' translates "AUPARAVANT" but I guess it's surperfluous when you say that's your first time you
do something !!

ESCARGOT (snail) is the correct spelling

I've never tried/tasted snails
JE N'AI JAMAIS GOÛTE' LES ESCARGOTS

phonetic is

Jéh nèh jàh-méh goo-téh léhs-éhsc-àhr-gò-ts

je n'ai avant jamais eu l'escarot.

je=jjjjuh, n'ai= nay, avant= Av-Auhn,jamais= J
eh-may, eu = euhh, l'escarot= LESK-Arow

Been a long many years since i took french i think this is close though. literally translated this means approx, i have not had escarot before. Often times in french and spanish and such they switch words around differently than we speak so this may be close but not exact as i cannot remember which cases this is except when you use an adjective.

You must mean escargot.
You say: Je n'ai jamais goûté l'escargot.
(Jeh neh jah-meh goo-teh lescargoh)
