What do you think of excellence from this quote? What does excellence meant to you? (Side Question: Why do kids like Shrek so much? My daughter just fell asleep to it after making me watch it with her! Although Donkey is hilarious)

All the good deeds that a human does are excellent. These deeds also will make you feel good. PBUH said: "Ma naqasa malun min saddaqa". Which means, when you give the poor at your own will, you will never feel that your money is less. Allah gives you back what you spent and even more. Although we have the "Zakat" which is a must for all Muslims, and it is a certain percentage that you have to pay annually for the poor from your wealth. But then there are other things.
PBUH also said: "A human's deeds comes to an end by his death, except for three: on-going "saddaqah", a usefyl knowledge or a good child praying for him". Explaining this, if someone has money going to the poor let's say monthly and he dies and the money still goes to the poor, while he is dead he will still be getting the reward from Allah. Also, knowledge. If someone wrote a useful book, and after his death still people are using it and benefiting from it, he still gets rewarded by Allah. & finally, a good child (son or daughter). If a dead person leaves behind him/her a good child, doing good deeds and praying for him/her all the time, Allah accepts these prayers and the dead is rewarded. These are the ONLY 3 cases where Allah accepts to reward a Muslim after he/she is dead.
