Christianity = literary astrological hybrid, plagiarized from egyptian/pagan traditions that came long before it.

It's an interesting movie, the only part I have a problem with (as an atheist!) is how it implies a connection between "son of god" and "sun of god", which of course only sound similar in English, a language that wasn't around back then.

Other than that, it makes sense to me.

What do you think?

The Origins of Christianity:
Christianity is a post-Zoroastrian, ostensibly monotheistic, though the veneration of the trinity and saints casts some doubts on that aspect, religion that was created in the late first century AD, after the Council of Jamnia, the Jewish convocation that expelled Judeo-Christians and Nazarenes from the Jewish faith due to the Hellenization of the sect. Prior to that it regarded itself as being a sect of Judaism.

Christianity was formally accepted in the Roman Empire in the 4th century AD, following Constantine's conversion. The post-Apostolic church between the end of the 1st century and the 4th century was controlled by bishops (or metropolitans) who met at councils to establish doctrine and develop theology. The Council of Nicea, held in the 4th century, was one of the most critical ones, as it led to the schism between the Catholic (Western Patriarchy) and Orthodox (Eastern Patriarchies) christian churches, due to a dispute over whether the trinity ranked equal with one another (Catholic doctrine) or were ranked in order (Orthodox doctrine). It wasn't until the reformation, and the establishment of numerous protestant churches that another major split occurred, as groups accepting the authority of the bible, rather than that of the Pope (The Western Patriarch), or in the case of Henry VIII of England, rejecting the power of the pope for social and political reasons, led to more divisions.

I heard this stuff before. If not the Egyptians, then people say that Jesus got his ideas from Zoroastrianism (which actually has it roots in Judaism), or he went to India to study Hinduism, or Buddhism, or whatever.

You probably consider me to be a biased source, but then again, who isn’t when it comes to religion?

As I told someone else who asked a similar question about the alleged Hellenistic influence on Christianity, the short answer would be that there is no direct evidence of any kind of foreign influence, Egyptian or otherwise, on the teachings of Jesus himself.

Of course, if one were to speculate without any evidence, then looking for similarities and/or differences between the various ancient religions and philosophies is like an ink blot test; I noticed that one sees what he or she wants to see.

i've got faith that God created Jesus, no longer Christian's. Christians are those that clearly have faith Jesus develop into who He suggested develop into. they suspect what He did and all that He complete mutually as on earth and continues to be to end interior the destiny. Christians are people who've chosen to persist with Him and His techniques. that's organic for us to settle for a "call," basically as the different team may well be additionally given a recognition. Jesus warned us that a lot of human beings might come after Him, proclaiming all styles of latest teachings, ideals and truths (sects), even nevertheless He advised us to persist with basically His occasion, words and fact. there are hundreds of ideals obtainable, no count number if or no longer they contain any type of religion or none in any respect. basically one thought could properly be precise. How can we be sure who's good? I particularly have faith that Jesus develop into who He suggested He develop into, even nevertheless, i will see why you do no longer.

It began with the men who were the apostles of Jesus Christ. After Jesus died on the cross, and was resurrected, that was the beginning of what today had become modern day "Christianity". Following Jesus.

"Pagan Origins of the Christ Myth" . . . best, most extensive, most scholarly site on the net on this subject. Very compelling evidence . . . and as near as I can tell, the author is actually a Christian who *accepts* his own faith as an ancient pagan religion.

Satan's lies always make sense to those who do not believe. He is not called the "great deceiver" without reason.
