My mom left for washington d.c. and she's the one that always keeps the house in tip-top shape, but she's only been gone for 12 hours and 45 minutes and I'm a complete wreck. what do I do to get over my mom totally leaving me like that when my dad is nothing but a big lazy bum?
(no offense daddy!)

call her every hour or two, email her, or text and then it's like she never left.

In what way do you need your mom the most? You don't tell of anything being wrong other than you miss her which is natural. You seem a little self centered saying your mom 'left' you with the implication that she abandoned you when in fact she simply went on a trip and will be back. I find it interesting that your main concern seems to be that she keeps the house in "tip top shape", but then you act offended when people say to clean the house yourself. The house cleaning seems to be your main concern. Clean up as you make a mess and everything will be fine.

Why do you need her "the most" right now? Are you in trouble? Boyfriend troubles? Legal troubles? Serious illness?

None of the above? Then, I wouldn't think she abandoned you in your time of "need". She went on a trip. So what?

Now it's YOUR turn to keep the house in tip-top shape. Get an idea of what your Mom does for you. No point in crying about it.

LOL.... The part that really strikes me as funny is when I read your title I thought omg "mom leaves when you need her most" .... I really though you had a crisis & needed your mom .... I actually felt bad there for a minute .... turns out you don't "need her most" what you do need is a swift kick in the a** and a lesson in housekeeping!! ... However,I'm sure if ya called "Molly Maid" it would be just like mom never left.

Just call and talk to her and just keep the house clean and stuff like you said but shes coming back so just stop worrying your self about it.

Apparently you take after your dad. This is an opportunity for you to see just how mature and reliable you are. Your mom didn't leave you, she went on a trip.

So, you need your Mom to come home to clean the house?

How about this for a solution--clean it yourself!

I know how you feel, my 81 yr. old mother went to Indiana to visit her grand daughter with three of my sisters, when I was going in to have my baby, I just fealt like they made her more important than me.

I am her baby of 18 kids, and my niece that she visited hadnt seen my mom in years because her dad took her away after my sister died, so I could kinda understand, but I still wish she wouldnt have left.

Tell her your dad told you that you didn't have to clean the house and he expressed to you that you are to never argue with him about this so you didn't.
