just nicely ask him to take a step back and let him get a reality check. the nicest way i would do it is just telling him and if he doesn't believe it in the nicest way you are telling him, then you might need to step up on the batting plate and staight up tell him to just give you some space and leave you alone.

When you leave a guy hanging with love feelings and no answer why you don't want to see him any more. Then naturally he might think that something is wrong in your life and maybe he can help.
When there is no communication, then imagination takes over. And wishful thinking of a lonely guy can easily lead him to believe that you still like him. But for some reason you cannot see him now.
This may be the reason why he persists.
And if he finds out now that all this time you've been ok and you've simply been ignoring him. Then he may get angry because you've left him hanging without letting him know what's going on.
When you create a friendship and then decide that you don't want it any more. Then the proper, the fair, and the nice thing to do is to tell the guy that you are not interested in him any more.
I suggest that you tell him now what's going on and apologise for not letting him know earlier.

Just ignore him. That is the strongest and most strraightforward way, without making it seem as if you don't like him or hate him.
I am a guy, and I know I can be a dick a lot of times, or be too much of a queer around girls. I don't know, don't ask. I'm weird.
But yeah, ignore him, give him a dirty look and act as if he was a stranger. If this whole boydfriend, going out thing is bugging you, then this is the best thing you can do to make him stop. If he doesn't stop, then it means he doesn't really like you and just wants to annoy you, which is a whole different thing. Hope this helps.
IGNORE HIM
DON'T LOOK AT HIM
LET HIM SAY WHAT HE WANTS
And...
He will leave you out of his life.

Your wording is unclear, however I assume you are trying to say that this guy is your BFF. The way it reads is that he is about the same age as your BFF and really doesn't make much sense.
Since he is your boy friend's friend it is his responsibility to tell him to cool it. He can tell him that it sounds like the three of you are having sex together and that is insulting to both himself and you because it indicates that the two guys are having sex with each other and you also. He can tell his friend if he wants to find somebody to be labeled as gay with to go find someone else.

well, your only real way is going to have to break his heart. How else will he get the point? To be honest, he sounds a bit creepy. He may be a bit annoying now, but who knows how far he may take it? That just isn't right for him to be telling others that your going out with him. For that I wouldn't really be all that concerned about his heart. He obviously disregards how YOU feel! To him, its all about how HE feels. The sooner you get the point across, the sooner you will get this potential stalker off your back.

Be honest with him just tell him the truth, tell him you like him hanging with you but not all the time let him know that it's ok for him to call you but to ease up on calling you to many times. He will have his heart crushed no matter how lightly you try to tell him to leave you alone but it all depends how much you want him to keep bugging you.

Don't worry about not breaking his heart. Jeeze. He sounds like a stalker! I'd be a bit worried if I were you. Ask him very nicely if he'll leave you alone. If he doesnt [and it doesn't sound like he will], either ignore him or tell him more firmly. If he doesn't get the message, you might have to yell. I know you don't want to, but if he doesn't leave you alone, it might be your only choice.

I had a similar predicament. There was this guy who went around school telling people that I kissed him.. Ew... God. no, anyways, I told him to stop spreading it, that it wasnt true, that I did NOT like him. he said he didnt spread it someone else did. It went back and forth until I finally grabbed his collar, screamed at him in the middle of the hallway, and when I heard him come up to me and begin to say another word, I told the vice principle.
NO ONE that messed up is gonna steal my first kiss. >=)

Well... you can't do both. Your choice, "break his poor lil heart" or just let him keep doing what he's been doing (by the way, the first option is the correct one, he'll get over it)
