I don't think Americans in general hate anyone but there are and always will be some people who do hate people based on color, nationality, religion, or sexual orientation, etc. but people are mad about illegal immigration not legal immigration all Americans descend for immigrants. I myself am 1/4 Mexican and I along with many people (including alot of full blooded Mexicans) am against illegal immigration, but if your planing on coming legally I'm sure 99.5% of Americans would be more than happy to have you.

Do Indians like Bangladeshis entering their country? Do Thais like Burmese entering their country? If they enter legally, and seek to live a peaceful prosperous life, well there's nothing wrong with that. I think most Americans are feeling this antagonism toward Mexicans, because they feel they --the Americans-- are being cheated. Let me explain. You see Americans have little health care, but an illegal alien can walk in and get what an American can't-- free health care. Americans have to carry passports to go to Canada. Illegal aliens don't need any documentation at all. When an American and a Mexican go for a job, the employer will pick the Mexican, because he can pay the Mexican less. As an American I must have car insurance, illegal aliens don't have that or a driver's license. When an American gets arrested for drunk driving, his license is taken away. Illegals don't have one to begin with so what's to take away. How do Illegals work here? Well, they steal an American's ID to work here. Sometimes the poor soul who got his Identity stolen pays dearly for it. Basically our government treats us, the long term American like a second rate citizen. That's been happening a lot lately. You see, it's not the illegal alien. It's HOW OUR GOVERNMENT treats US.

This is getting old.
My best friend in high-school was a Mexican. I eat at an authentic Mexican restaurant in my town on a regular basis and get along with the Mexicans who work there very well. These are hard working people.
I do not hate Mexicans or Indians or anyone else for that matter. But I will not support people who come here illegally to abuse our system. Unfortunately, the vast majority of illegals in this country are Mexican.
Come here legally. Learn English. Become an AMERICAN - not an Indian-American or Mexican-American - just an American. We will welcome you.

I'm Mexican American and I don't hate Mexicans. I don't want illegal immigrants in this country who drain our system. I would have no problem with you being here if you did things legally. As far as I'm concerned, you are welcomed here just like any other Legal Immigrant.

In 2005 Lou Dobbs was saying 7 to 10 Million illegal aliens, now he is saying 12 to 20 Million. if we can support & he work hard to stop the Congress from looking at this matter today, he can repeat the same story in 2009 with little changes i.e.- 20 to 30 Million (or 30 -40 )
By that time they can bring all their distant cousins and their families; most probably Congress will come up with a real AMNESTY plan similar to 1986 instead of this penalties and long waiting period and complex probation system and all.
All the illegal aliens need to thank the conservatives for that ( because many of us do not really know the term 'Conservatism' in its real meaning ).

Americans do NOT hate Mexicans. Some stupid people have hatred, but not most Americans. The hot issue is illegal immigration. If you come here legally, you will be welcomed with open arms. Good luck to you.

We don't hate Mexicans, or Canadiens, or Germans, or Indians. We hate people who take advantage of us, who don't play by our rules. My grandparents were immigrants - legal immigrants. My wife and daughter and her sister are immigrants - legal immigrants. It took three years and $42,000 to bring my 12 year old step-daughter from Philippines to the U.S. My wife and I could have had her here in 30 days with a 10 year green card, social security number, and birth records for $11,000 if we wanted to make her an illegal. My wife refused. My daughter refused. They didn't want to start their lives here as criminals.
No, we don't hate immigrants. America is an immigrant country. We hate illegals who "get away with it". Look at what happened to Paris Hilton. Look at how Americans hate people who break our laws, whether they rape children, speed, or come here illegally. It is all the same. America is a nation of laws, otherwise we would be called "Mexico".

I don't hate Mexicans, I don't hate immigrants, hell, I don't even hate illegal immigrants.
What I hate is our government allowing these people to break the law, because that is what "illegal immigration" means, and use our resources without giving anything back. I hate the fact that some of our American-born citizens have to suffer without proper health care or housing, or even food, while people can break the law to get here, and get all of that for nothing. I hate that I've been working full time since I was 15 years old just to take care of myself and try to make something of my life, only to have someone else, who hasn't paid in to the social security administration, recieve social security, which is now likely to be gone by the time I need it. I hate that if I visit another country I have to learn their language to get by, while I'm spending my tourist dollars, and then people can come live here illegally and we cater to them by adding their language to all of our products. I hate that people I know and care about can't seem to find jobs to support their family because illegal immigrants are taking them and not even paying taxes for it. And no, they don't just take the jobs we don't want. A job is a job, no matter how dirty or hard it is, when you need to feed your family.
So, I do not hate the people, I hate what is happening to the rest of us because of them.

No things are not yet that bad here. In fact if it werent for the leaders that these same people with negative replies worship we would be doing pretty well. Please come to our land and take a job that some ignorant A##hole with half the knowledge and education will get if you dont. AMERICA IS AS GREAT AS IT IS !!!!BECAUSE!!!! OF IMMIGRANTS. Of ALL colors.
To the girl above who said that no black people are racists get a clue there is hatred in every race.
I would also agree with the fella above who mentioned the fear of this land being taken back by the "brown" people. My Grandmother is fullblood native and i would have to agree that my people prob didnt consider them legal. There is a difference though "the people" didnt ever even consider "owning land" and actually were quite friendly and open and helpful to the white immigrants when they came. The wagon train massacres and such mostly happened AFTER the whites had proven their unfriendly attitude.

I dont understand why our goverment dosn't stop wasting its money on HELPING them, (they're ILLEGALY BREAKING INTO OUR COUNTRY! COME ON!) rather than installing electrical barbed wire fences around the boarder, training attack dogs, mine fields, armed patrols, etc. This is bullshit! Mexicans as a whole aren't bad, but the ones illegaly crossing are making things worse and worse for us, honest amercians. They dont care that we tell them to stop, they just do it anyway, how long are we going to let them do this? We really should take more drastic measures about this. its kind of ****ing up our country.
