I mean, $4.50 for a Ben and Jerry ice cream? Give me a break! I know that there are some stores where they sell Ben and Jerry for $3.00 or something, but $4.50? Why does it cost so much?

High butterfat content (more expensive)

Tastes good - high demand (more expensive)

BTW, the cost of all things based on corn (like cow's milk, from cows, who eat corn) has gone up a lot and will keep going up because our glorious leader and enough morons in Congress think ethanol is the solution for cutting down on gasoline use. Ethanol, made from corn, drives up the price of corn, and so drives up the price of everything else that uses corn.

I'm with you 100% there! I think every person should be given one gallon of ice cream per day for health reasons as preventive medicine.
Now that's a National Health Care Plan I can live with.
