Because they believe that no one else, even non-believers, should have the right nor the audacity to make fun or to criticize their beliefs or their actions, whatsoever. The same ones who believe, in turn, that it's perfectly okay to satirize Christians, Jews, and every other faith.

I wish you and many others could understand how we feel about our Prophet Mohammad (pbuh). If you can just know how much we love and and are inspired by this wonderful man, maybe you would understand. We would never want our prophet (pbuh) disrespected, and Allah (swt) asked from us to respect this great prophet (pbuh).
I'm just upset by the fact that not only people are drawing cartoons, but people are freaking out over our reactions. Do you think we'll have these stupid cartoons drawn and say nothing about it. But I do agree with the fact that Muslims should not be violent and start riots--that's not necessary. What's necessary is that we condemn these things and leave it up to Allah (swt) to take care of the rest. And God knows best.

Muslims are bent out of shapers waiting for an excuse to show how peaceful violence can be. Scary, evil, whatever.

I just don't get it...
If other religion believers tolerate making fun of their own religion it does not justify that we Muslims should also let go.
Muslims are passionate about their religion, no matter how vague the concept of Islam has become to them, and if someone tries to tarnish the image of their belief they are unable to control their emotions.

They were disrespectful of the Prophet (peace be upon him). We should also be incensed at the disrespect hurled upon our other Prophets (Jesus, Moses, Noah, peace be upon them all). Think about how "bent out of shape" many Christians became at "The Davinci Code," for example.
The only call to action I ever saw or read about on the internet was a boycott of Danish products.

For the same reason that a Christian will object if you make a joke about Christ. You are insulting their beliefs.
