Having won the election on a platform of no amnesty, John Kyl helps to author the immigration bill to grant just that to illegals. He said he supported the bill because we were going to have to accept some sort of immigration bill, so the smart thing to do was to work to make the bill as good as possible through compromise. But the bill was beaten in the senate, so it ought to be clear that we don't really "HAVE" to accept some sort of immigration bill. As a matter of fact, if he'd just stop supporting it, it would probably die right now. So now what's his excuse for supporting the bill?

Should we trust this man when he tells us this time the government really will enforce border security if we'll just grant amnesty?

Dan, I don't blame you for being angry, but Latinos are not "monkeys." Most of them are fine people. I'm reporting you.

He has already announced that he is not running for reelection. We have to see what he does when his term is over, I bet he has been promised a big fat comity job with a law firm that lobbies on the behalf of business that want cheap labor. I wonder if there is a way his folks back home can recall him

In 2005 Lou Dobbs was saying 7 to 10 Million illegal aliens, now he is saying 12 to 20 Million. if we can support & he work hard to stop the Congress from looking at this matter today, he can repeat the same story in 2009 with little changes i.e.- 20 to 30 Million (or 30 -40 )

By that time they can bring all their distant cousins and their families; most probably Congress will come up with a real AMNESTY plan similar to 1986 instead of this penalties and long waiting period and complex probation system and all.

All the illegal aliens need to thank the conservatives for that ( because many of us do not really know the term 'Conservatism' in its real meaning ).

NOPE! AZ voters should send this creep packing.

At the same time that his website said that he was against amnesty, he was helping to draft this pile of crap! What a liar!

We shouldn't trust ANY government weasel to actually enforce border security. They have promised security for 21 years - 1986 amnesty bill. And, WHERE'S THE FENCE?

EDIT: Hey, Metro! You sound like the Washington weasels and "Jorge Bush" that are liars! "Feinswine" claims it's not amnesty but it is!

Here are two definitions I found: "A general pardon granted by a government, especially for political offenses."

"amnesty (a˘m`n?stï), in law, exemption from prosecution for criminal action. It signifies forgiveness and the forgetting of past actions."

YUP! That's that the Senate is trying to shove down our throats! The 20+ million illegals are forgiven for they past crimes. BTW, the only ones that pay a fine are the ones that apply for citizenship. Most probably won't apply because they get to stay - why pay anything?

You sound like a grade college new child. What he did in Vietnam wasin Vietnam, time to get with the present and end residing interior the previous. McCain, is a flunky to Bush, do you spot the place Bush's approval score is? Do you think of that's a good technique to make your companion and little ones and distant places coverage the comparable coverage of the Bush administration?? it particularly is why McCain will lose via fact he in simple terms isn't what the rustic needs suited now as a president and maximum individuals understand this and knew it months or years in the past.

How many times do we have to be lied to by politicians before we wise up? Kyl and his buddy McCain (and all the Democrats) need the boot. This bill sucks from end to end, and anyone who doesn't believe that has an alternate agenda or does not know what they are talking about. If you don't have time to read the bill (the parts the Senate is actually willing to show us), just check out the Lou Dobbs video from CNN ... http://www.forthecause.us/media/ftc-video-CNN-AmnestyBillsWorstProvisions_070523.wmv

Metro900, have you read the bill?

He had no choice but announce he was not going to run again. Politicians will always tell you what you want to hear. Voters never want to hear the truth so they do what they know will work, manipulation to the best of their ability. I trust none
