Num 14:34
After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise.

To my knowledge, there is no scripture that makes that statement. It has been speculated that because in some instances the number of days mentioned in the Bible for a specific event to occur (prophecy) coincides with the number of years it actually took historically, that this means that a day means a year etc. This would be all well and good if it always held true, but it does not. It really depends on whether you read the Bible literally or if you speculate on what each verse means or could mean.

I for one would rather have a personal relationship with that being that created all things and let Him lead me. Much less confusing...and it does not require me to take the word of another human. After all, I guess I think I am just as able to interpret as they are...or at least I would like to think so.

You might be referring to the verse in 2 Peter 3:8

"But forget not this one thing, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day"

It doesn't say here that one day equals one yar.

What's stated here is 'one day is WITH THE LORD as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.'.

WITH THE LORD.

You might misinterpret it just like what happened to other people 'CONCLUDING' that a thousand years 'in men' equals one day with the Lord, BUT IT DOESN'T STATED IN THE VERSE THAT 'a thousand years in men', what's written is 'one day is WITH THE LORD as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.'

It's WITH THE LORD.

I think you mean 1 day is as 1000 years. I think the book of Peter says it.

No where in the bible does it say that.
In Peter he uses a PARABLE to describe God's timing.

"One day is LIKE a thousand years in the eye's of the lord"

However it is NOT a thousand years, It is an expression to explain that God's time is different.
