We view God as an eternal entity whose power is equal to his/her will.

The following quote from Albert Einstein also offers a good Deistic description of God:

"My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble minds. That deeply emotional conviction of the presence of a superior reasoning power, which is revealed in the incomprehensible universe, forms my idea of God."

I view Deism as a way to understand using your own mind and opinion rather than someone else's. God gave of all minds and it is foolish to think that God would reveal certain facts to one group of people. Also since science has become better developed isn't it funny how God stopped writing books in the bible and stopped talking directly to prophets. Deism allows one to use his or her reason as a means of knowing God. Many people like to be told what to do and what to think and hence the popularity of the bible.

Deism is the thought in God, yet, not in any specific Holy individual or Holy e book. easily, that's the theory that God Created the universe & left to run via itself. Going via that concept, it begs the question: If God Had not something to do with us after turning out to be us, how did it grow to be that humanity knew of Him?

I view God as apathetic. He created us, but then turned around and started working on something else. He has no hand in what's going on.

I answered this question in your other post. I have no quarrel with Deists. I believe it is a giant step towards a personal relationship with God.

Peace and blessings!
