It's philosophy, sociology as well as history.

Since it is some of the oldest history we have I try to see how we've evolved mentally from it.

Best I can tell humans on the inside haven't changed much, we still struggle with love and hate whether it's directed at ourselves or others.

It is supposed to. I think that from faith, you learn a great deal about yourself.

I don't think it teaches us anything! except to follow some old rules and testaments created by older non existant people who don't even exist anymore..plus it teaches people that certain type of people are more better than non believers when people are the same and should be treated equally.

Religion focus is not on us--it is focused on God--once we realize its not about us--and allow God to lead--then we realize how much better we can be in Christ--and then we can improve our lives in him.

At its best, religion is a moral guide to teach people about concepts such as faith, dignity, loyalty, and honor. At its worst, religionteaches us about betrayal, hypocrisy, deciet, and intolerance.

It hasn't really taught me anything... I am however now an atheist and deathly afraid of people who wear those priest collar things... they yell at me...
