I myself am not a Muslim, but I am so tired of the ignorance of those who surround me and tell it is "evil" or "backwards". Each faith has differing customs and beliefs, so why should it come as a surprise to Americans that Islam is different than What they are familiar with (Christianity)? How many people have taken the time to do independant research on Islam, instead of regurgitating what they have been told or forming baseless opinions formed on what a few people out of BILLIONS did to our country? Did you ever stop to wonder that there are just as many fanatical Christians out there? Abortion clinic bombings? Oklahoma city? do any of these sound familiar, or are they conveniently forgotten? We owe much of our knowledge in Mathematics, Science, etc. to the stability that Islam brought to much of the world during the European "dark ages". That is not to say everything went perfect (library of Alexandria burning), but that was because of a fanatic. Do any of you stop to think about

why Muslim fanatics are created? our policies in the middle east are misguided, taking advantage of many of these countries. We back Israel. Israel was created on a reneged deal between the Arabs and the British, who promised them palestine if they helped fight the Ottomans during WWI (they did, and the British gave in to jewish Lobbyists instead). What about the Mossadegh in the early 1950's in Iran? you had the first democracy in the middle east, yet a coup was formed by the CIA to have Mossadegh removed and the Shah put in power. Why? to protect foreign oil interests. Mossadegh wanted revenue from the oil fields to go back to Iran, but BP didn't like that, so the plan was hatched. We continue to do this crap today (we backed Saddam in the 1980's), and we can't understand where fanatics come from. We create them!!!

Uhh wookie.. the world you are looking for is rebuttal not "debuttal". Also, if you had done your research you would know that they are called Surahs not "Sunnahs". I think someone needs to research a little more. As for that nonsense about Oklahoma city, Who told you that nonsense? They were both members of right-wing seperatist groups, hardly the type to associate with Muslim terrorists. As for you saying that The Muslims oppressed the people that lived in their lands....have you done research? They were quite accepting of those of differing faith, although they were regarded as second-class citizens. Sounds better than the inquisition, doesn't it?

My apologies, wookie, I recant what I said about the Sunnahs, although much of what is writen in them is taken out of context, and there are many Muslims who are Quran-only, ignoring the Sunnah and Hadith entirely.

I agree fully. Many people seem to find care more about bashing Islam than researching it and learning the truth. I'm praying to God that people can use peace and understanding rather than haste.

What you have said, in part, is true. But this has gone on far longer than you explain in your short paragraph.

What is even more interesting is that BOTH religions are guilty of the same thing; Getting in bed with governments for their individual selfish interests. And Governments have done the same.

But how do you stop this? Isn't it really a simpler solution to worship our creator and give credit to him rather than man and his governments and religions? In both the Koran and the Bible it states very plainly that Satan is in charge of this world and that God will bring an end to that rule.

I see the signs that a foretold every day. People continue going about their daily tasks and not paying attention to what is happening. The Bible says that Jesus will return as "a theif in the night" bringing an end to Satan rule. Every thing that is happening now points to the fact that the time is now for that to come to pass.

People in general are getting tired of seeing hate and intolerance and bombings. Since it is the religious organizations that are at the center of this maelstrom, then it will bring an end to religions as foretold in Revelation.

Upon the eve of the fulfillment of that prophesy the War of Armageddon will have commenced, and there will be no further salvation for any person because ALL will know that GOD is bringing and end to this wicked system.

WOW talk about a load of hog-wash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where do I start the debuttal? First, how much "independent" research have YOU done on this matter? From your tirade, it could not have been much. I have researched the Quran, the history of tn Islamic faith, Muhammed, and it's Sunnahs.

Second, I do not forget about the events which people do in the name of Christianity. The difference between Christianity and Islam is that Christianity does not teach or condone such actions. Islam, on the other hand, teaches and condones discrimination, violence, slavery, and differing social classes based on a person's belief system.

Third, get your history straight. Oklahoma City was NOT a "christian" event. It was undertaken by two individuals who had serious mental problems and were recruited by (drum roll please...) Islamic fundamentalists who provided financing and equipment. Another point on history, what is the percentage of terrorist activities performed by Islamic fundamentalists (not fanatics) compared with Christian fundamentalists? And yet another point on history, Have you REALLY studied the dark ages? If you HAD, you would have learned that Islam was FAR, FAR from a benefit to the societies which it tried to move into.

In Quran God says "And nearest among them(Muslims) in love to the believers wilt
thou find those who say, "We are Christians": because amongst these are men
devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not
arrogant" {Quran 5:82}

Both Muslims and Chirstians believe in the Second coming of the Christ, both are instructed to follow him word by word on his second coming. What will take for these two not to judge the world and each other but organize with each other for common good and leave the judgement of there actions solely to God!

Another Surah from the Quran says
"Verily! Those who believe and those who are Jews and Christians, and Sabians, whoever believes in Allah(God) and the Last Day and do righteous deeds shall have their reward with their Lord, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve"

Jesus Christ also asked not to Judge.

So what are Muslims and Christians waiting for???

Quran does condone slavery... Mohammad owned slaves, even Black slaves. examine your information, Jesus in no way owned slaves. The Bible in no way condoned slavery. think of approximately history... i understand thinking may be stressful on you being your have been miseducated in public intense college, yet William Wilberforce, a member of British Parliament, worked his finished occupation to end slavery interior the British Empire, in accordance along with his dedication to the Bible. He ultimately defeated the Darwinists that adversarial him after an entire occupation. The Darwinists believed that Blacks have been much less more suitable than whites, arguing that Blacks have been greater suitable off enslaved. attempt severe thinking, putting aside prejudice and who knows you will possibly be able to arrive at a level of fact.

you make very good points, however, i must again say that because we're innundated by the news with ugly images of muslims swearing to terror in the name of allah, it gives the religion a bad name. Perhaps if more muslims would speak out and demonstrate about the hijacking of their religion, it would help. I do think that islam might be in need of a reformation.
