My teeth are small and fairly soft. I have a "gummy" smile and would like more teeth and less gums.

How to achieve? Would it make sense to do something to my teeth/gums (not sure what that would be)? Or something to my smile (like would Botox help me smile "less big" - I mention this because I have trained myself for photos to not smile "all the way" and it looks great.)

There are several types of surgery {minor} that will shorten the frenum attachment allowing less of your gums to be exposed. I would be more concerned with "soft" teeth this is not a dental term. Do you have decay or what? I think a visit to your dentist is your first stop get your teeth and gums as healthy as possible then fix the cosmetics. Good Luck

See a cosmetic dentist for a consultation. One option might be gingival recontouring followed possibly be veneers or ceramic crowns. The veneers/crowns may not be needed depending on the exposed tooth structure, just a thought. Depending on the amount of gums showing, they can cosmetically recontour to show more tooth, but if you show LOTS of gum, this may only help a bit. Good luck!

I don't like my teeth either- But I have learned that not liking your body doesn't change it, and that I should be happy just the way I am. Also- you can smile with your mouth closed- works everytime!
