When you put babypowder on a human baby you must be very careful not to allow the child to enhale the powder into its lungs. Its the same for a dog. Theres nothing in powder poison to your pet. But, does your pet lick its coat? Because babypowder smells good and your pet will be apt to want to taste it. Babypowder doesn,t hurt babys but consider this they don,t eat it either. Theres lots of good scented products out there for your pet. I know how you feel though it smells really good!

When I was showing Cocker Spaniels, I regularly used baby powder on the light colored dogs after bathing. Put into the coat while it was still slightly damp, and then blow dryed and brushed out. It does help them stay cleaner longer, and gives the coat a nice texture as well as scent.

i don't know how safe it's on baby's,and it is,so on dogs it should not make any difference ,i use it all the time ,however when my dogs see me with the baby powder container they run away,so go figure, and one of them barks at me when he sees me coming, so be careful.

Yes, it's fine I use it on my dog when I'm showing her. It's best used between baths with a good brushing and that helps to keep them clean longer. All the best;^)

ARe you nuts? why would you use baby powder on your dog?

Quit bathing the poor dog. It makes tons of skin problems. Dogs need the oils on their skin for their skin and coat. If you wash them away, you will create more problems than it is worth in the long run...

Only rinse your dog with water to remove the mud, etc.

Unless your dog was skunked there is no reason to bathe the dog.

Geeze you people are nuts!

Put it this way: If you enjoy rolling in excrement, sniffing other peoples' nether regions, copulating openly, and eating raw meat, you can safely assume that your doggie likes baby powder on its body.
