A child, especially at 7 or 8, is not responsible to take care of a dog, nevermind a puppy!!!!

If the parents can't care for the poor thing, they have no business having it. Sounds like it needs a vet appointment asap as well as a new home where it can be cared for and loved.

Animal's aren't TOYS and it makes me sick that people think animal's don't have feelings. A puppy has feelings and a puppy in my eyes have to be cared for just like a little baby. Would you throw your baby around for fun? Would you body slam your baby for fun? Call your local animal control. You can do that buy calling the local police and file an animal cruelty on the owner. Be a voice for that puppy and get it some help before he suffers a cruel death.

call authorities. It doesn't matter if that kid is rich, spoiled, poor, or stupid. That is animal abuse. The kid deserves to have the pet taken until he can be more responsible. What he is doing is considered a crime by the U.S. government. I'm not trying to be mean but at the kid's age he should be able to take care of a pet. Talking to the kid's parents might not help since they most likely know. A while back animal abuse was considered to be more atrocious than child abuse. It is your duty as a decent human being to help this dog before it dies by calling the authorities.

if it was me i would call the locoal human socity or someother anmale abuse and neglect offical and have them look at the puppy and speak with the owers somtimes they dont have to take the dog just the talk fixes the peobulm. but not doing anything is not they way to go, this puppy is seek, and may or may not be eatting right or drinking right we dont no if this is true or not but not to find out cloud end up in the puppy dieing when 1 call would keep it from happening. and if nothing wrong then grate the puppy is fine and you did what you thought was right to save her/him. i'm not going to tell you that is is your moral only opstion couse it is not you ccloud talk to them, or what ever, do what you feel is right, but that is what i would do. i can not bear to dee a anmal being miss treated.

why on earth does this little boy have a puppy that just turned 8 weeks old. at 8 weeks old this puppy should of been just leaving his litter mates and mother. some one should call the police on this family because that is animal cruelty to not provide proper care for an animal that is obviously sick. and to let this poor puppy to be in that kind of care is wrong.

Talk to your friend and tell them that the dog throwing up isn't fine and that the dog needs care and if your friend won't listen then take the pup to the local ainmal sheler or call animal control. That pup is verry sick and needs help. the sooner you are able to act, the better off that pup will be. it sounds like the pup might have an ulser from drinking what comes outta it. Act quickley.

if the boy is only 7 or 8 then the puppy is the parents responsibility. Not the childs. I would talk to the parents and if they seem to be unresponsive then call the humane society or animal control ..... you cant mistreat an animal legally..
good luck.

You should call the nearest animal shelter or animal abuse line
to determine what to do with the dog. The person might have a problem of family, friends, more like close distance people. It may be sad but any animal treated like that may have to be put down. Take it from me a true dog lover and a vet assistent

You could talk to the mom. If that doesn't work you can always call Animal Control on them. Then they would know who called though, if that's is not an issue proceed. These situations are difficult. In either case and for suggestions I would call the ASPCA they deal with these situations all of time and can advise you correctly.

I might get a ittle bit of crap for this......
Tell the parents that there is something wrong with the dog, and that if they don't look after it and take it to the vet you are going to call your local Humane Society. Threaten them! Tell them that if they aren't willing to look after the puppy, then they should give it you and you will find an appropriate home for it.
Not keeping your dog healthy is neglect, and the fact that she is so mal-nourished that she is eating and drinking her own waste? Something is seriously wrong there!!!
