We wipe his eyes down with a warm washcloth every couple of hours but the fluid is still coming out. I'm not sure if it's an eye infection or what. The cat is only about 8 weeks old. I was wondering if there are any home remedies that could be used, and if not, i guess it's on to the vets.

At that age, your kitten shouldn't be having any discharge from his eyes. So it probably is an infection, and the vet might want to give him an antibiotic.

Good luck!

I wouldn't try home remedies. You could do more damage than good. Take it to the vet. It sounds like an infection.

my cats eyes get that way during the year, it's plainly their allergies.=) the fluid is like their eyes washing them selves out. i thought it was an infection at first but we found that it was just allergies. the air, dust, ozone anything. but i would go to the vet first just to know b/c it still could be an infection.

I encountered a similar problem when my cat was a kitten. He/she probably has an eye infection. Take him/her to the vet and ask for medication. If untreated it may get worse.
