You could try using a product such as Fabreze or spot shot if the pee is in one place. I have a hoover steam vac that can take smell and grime out of any household fabric. If you think that might work try asking a neighbor to borrow one or rent a carpet cleaner at a grocery store. (Most large retail food stores stock these for rental.) If you do use Fabreze remember to get ALL of the fabric in the room mildly damp. I had dog pee on my carpet and after a number of these Fabreze treatments the smell disappeared.

There are several products available at petsmart that work really well. They are in the cat section and are made just for getting the cat pee smell out of things. Natures Miracle is pretty good. There are several others also.

My cat peed along the wall because she ended up having crystals in her urine. Check with the vet if your cat just randomly pees on the floor in the same spot. Otherwise we had to rip out the carpet, clean it, and air dry.

urine b gone is what I use, and it seems to work really well. By the way, that whole thing about neutering cats and having it stop them from being on things is rubish. Both of my cats are fixed, and they still go nuts.

I use the Bissell pet urine remover. It's best to use some kind of shampooer, because chances are the pad under the carpet (if that's what you're cleaning) has been saturated, and that's why you still smell it.
