There are two types, one for cooking basically, and the other for massaging your face and body. So depends on which you are looking for; for cooking go to a health food store or a real upgrade supermarket that is posh. For the massage type, you will have to mix it with other base oil or sweet almond oil, and you can find it at aromatherapy stores. Look if there is a natural store around, because you are investing in a good oil, and it won't be cheap. Also make sure you pet(s) aren't consuming it. Avocado is digest-able by humans, but can be poisonous to many animals.
Avocado oil is good for aged and dried skin types.

Very few. I did find it at my local Wal Mart years ago but only once. If you are lucky enough to have a Trader Joe's I would try there. I know they used have it along with a good grade of walnut oil.
