Seriously, these local carriers did an excellent job of providing dependable service to places which weren't served by anybody else. I remember Agony Airlines,
Philadelphia to Boston with only two stops for directions, which ones do you remember??

Slowhawk sucked! The small ones bite, no point in remembering them. Move on!

Allegheny airlines (has morphed into US Air) and Mohawk Airlines.

I remember flying both of these under those names years ago.

Mohawk used to fly a Turbo-Aztec between Albany and NYC - flying down the Hudson at about 1200 feet - 5 passengers and a single pilot. One of the passengers got to sit in the co-pilot seat and was told not to touch anything.

I think you have the names wrong or somebody has been pulling your leg. Slowhawk sound a lot like somebody making a comment about Mohawk Airlines and Agony sound like Allegheny Airlines.

I worked at a nursing home a couple years ago and one of the residents was the wife of a former ceo of Mohawk. I googled it, but didn't find too much info.
Does the name Jonathan Tackaberry ring any bells?
