Disagree. That's like saying that disbelief in Thor or Zeus is a religion, or that disbelief in Santa is a religion.
As Richard Dawkins wisely said

funny thing about that guy who wrote "no charismatic leader"
in france there's a guy who started an atheist church, there are already atheist churches in america, but this guy goes the whole 9 yards-ex christians undergo an un-baptism

Nope, doesn't qualify. No charismatic leader figure, no sacred text, no set of beliefs etc.
The only thing atheists have in common is a disbelief in deities.
If I hear this stupid argument one more time I'm going to personally hunt down the person that makes it and give them a nasty Chinese burn.
