My cat has my full attention all the time. She walks in a room and we always pet and pay attention to her.

i have a 13 yr old long haired black cat(Lacy) and she is a very needy cat. She will get in my face or just sit patiently until it annoys me enough that I have to look at her. Other than those moments she is generally in my lap or next to me when I am seated. She also talks when she wants things. My fav is when she reaches out for me when I stop petting her or when I walk past her. She will sit on the bed and do this as I get dressed. My Ragdoll(Rizzo) talks and headbutts. Then she gets mad and growls for no reason. I try to only give her small bits of attention.

My cat Luna, would usually meow enough times to get my attention to either to be fed or to play fetch. Yes my cat loves to play fetch. She's an odd duck. :) My other cat, Lily is not the type to want attention. She'll give you a nip just because you passed by. She does have her cute points. She'll meow until I get up to see that she brought the elastic string Luna loves to play with. I have to tell Lily, "What a good girl" or she won't stop meowing. The cats I have now aren't hunters so they don't meow if they bring in something, but a cat I used to have did it all the time. She used to bring in birds, grasshoppers, etc and they would always end up in my room. I would then bring them back outside and she would bring them back inside. R.I.P. Rainbow. I miss you.!

My cat will come over to me and she will tap me on the arm and cry to let me know that she is there and if I don't listen she will tap on my arm and after that she will give me a love nip and then she will run and then she will come back and she will try again. That's how my cat trys to get my attention. My cat will then will sit in my lap and I will give her a lot of loves.

Yow, Yow, plant her person right in front of me so I can't walk without stepping on her. I sit down, yow, yow, jump up on my lap while I'm at the computer. My husband has her jumping up on the bed and sitting on his open Bible while he's reading before bed.

But if she doesn't get immediate attention, like NOW, she goes to the carpet or oriental rug and sharpens her claws on it. She knows that's naughty and will get an immediate response from us.

I initiate the attention a lot of the time. If she wants my full attention, she'll usually roll over on her back and look up at me, all cute-like.

Sit on the floor next to me and meow until I reach down and pet her some. Or I pat my lap and she jumps up for a pet.

Our cat, Smeagol, tries to sit on my husbands face when he wants attention. No matter how many times my husband pushes him away, he'll still saunter over and try to sit on his face. Our cat needs therapy.
