Most of the people who answered this question are nothing but boring. How can you say, nothing can believe in itself if it doesn't exist when there is no proof for Him not existing.
You think the the truth is already proven ?
Then it must have come in the news already.
There is no other than God, obviously. And we can't state anything if it is not said in the bible.
People seem rather to believe the matrix or any theory than what they don't understand.

The person above me says the right answer.

Great question!

Because He believes only true things, God certainly believes in Himself.

God is not the kind of being that "comes from" anything else. Unlike created things, He is the only truly independent, self-existent, and self-sustaining being. Therefore, no other gods like him can logically exist.

So, yes, the god ladder does stop. :)

It ends in a God who is the source and sustainer of all things. While mysterious, this view is far superior to the logically impossible alternatives: that the universe came from nothing, or that the universe came from an infinite series of universes.

Hope that helps!

Its a heirarchy. the God of God sits back and takes vacations while the lesser payed God had to figure out a way to impregnate a woman without touching her; collect money from every church; answer everyones prayers, make people out of a pile of dirt and some other stuff. That must have been a challenge! I hope he gets a raise.

Great question btw

Your Q: Where did this God come from,

Moses said

Psalms 90:2

"Before the mountains were brought forth, Or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. "

Q. are there other gods like him?

During the time of the Israelites when kings rule them, it was said,

1 Chronicles 17:20

" O LORD, there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears. "

---------------------------------------------------------------------

You should not be confused with it. The time came when HIS SON, the Lord Jesus Christ was introduced, manifested.

Acts 2:38

"Let all the house of Israel therefore know assuredly, that God hath made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom ye crucified. "

And His SON, the ONLY BEGOTTEN of the Father, is also God.

John 1:18

"No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. "

Hebrews 1:8

"but of the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever; And the sceptre of uprightness is the sceptre of thy kingdom."

You have to consider time element here.

The time CAME when God sent forth his son.

Galatians 4:4

"but when the fulness of the time came, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, "

I hope that answer your questions.

That's a good and valid question. I believe here is a creator. How many, or whether God was a creation of a higher god/gods, is a mystery which is beyond our realm of comprehension.

This world is an evidence for the Existence of the Creator. He didn't "come into existence" because that only happens for something created.

Everything that is specified is a creation. e.g. specified with a colour, shape, place.

God is not specified with specifications. Hence He is not a creation.

Isaiah 42:8

I am the Lord, that is my name
and My glory, will I not give to another,
neither my praise to graven images.

We do not yet know where God came from, that remains a mystery even to believers. Perhaps.....when we enter into His heaven we will learn.........

I'd think he'd believe in himself as much as you believe in yourself.

I do ponder where God, the angels, Satan and whoever else is there came from to begin with.

We believe God believes in Himself (or Herself). He always was and always will be.

We believe there are no other Gods.

With love in Christ.
