I've been told that im going to hell because i listen to Slipknot and Cannibal Corpse...not to mention a number of other bands that are similar....is it just me or is that really retarded??

No one on earth can decide if you are going to hell, let alone decide by what you listen to.
Back in the 50s, some parents said that their kids would go to hell listening to Elvis and The Beatles, etc.
My Mom is a devout Catholic (not I said the moose tho) and she listens to Led Zepplin and other bands that a lot of people didn't think were "pure."
I listen to Oingo Boingo, Nine Inch Nails and yeah, sometimes Slipknot and other bands.
It is music. It isn't the guide book to my way of life. The Bible is guidance, not an instruction manual.
Going to Hell is going to be based on your whole life experience... how you act to you and others. Not what you listen to. Respect others and listen to music at a responible volume =)
A rabbi once told me 3 words to live by...
"Relax. Enjoy Life!"

that is retarted, if nobody was taught evil or told about hell. then evil wouldnt exist. is a murderer evil or is he just crazy and something went wrong in his head.i listen to slipknot all the time and dont feel evil or get no evil urges, its just music but louder.
