This has to be the most lame excuse to justify smoking I've ever heard. Please, add a comment that says you're joking.
If you're serious though, I'll give you the ''best'' reason to smoke, and you can use this as if you'd thought of it yourself and I won't mind.
Tell people you smoke and eat fatty foods and don't exercise and do whatever unhealthy activities because you don't want your heart and your lungs to not have the sense to quit working, when the rest of your body has long given up the fight. If you don't smoke and drink and eat lots of bacon, you're mind and body will likely give out way way before your heart and lungs, and then you'll be on some damned machine untill your heart stops beating or your lungs stop drawing air. That is honestly the best excuse I could ever imagine for wanting to time your death.
To answer your question though, NO, the only amount of cigarette smoke that is healthy for you, is zero.

When would they ever be a necessary part of life? And, why would you need to "keep in practice"... it's not a beneficial activity.
I have never heard a single good thing about them. Maybe 20 a year won't really have a huge affect, but why even bother... it can only harm you. Smoking is horrible for you... why bother having 20ish a year and risk getting addicted. If i were you, I would stop smoking those cigarettes.

The tobacco companies would really like to pay you for this endorsement! Seriously, how could smoking be a necessary part of, or beneficial to, life? The tobacco companies have been slowly and quietly increasing the nicotine (which is also used as a pesticide) in their products for several years; some tobacco products now contain as much as 10% more nicotine now than they did 5 years ago. Eventually, they'll hook you. Not a good idea.

Smoking is never healthy, it has nothing healthy, it will not do anything healthy. Even 20 smokes a year does harm to your respiratory system. It will heal as long as that's as much as you smoke, but wouldn't you want to be a little healthier for a little while longer?

I agree--that is totally a lame line of thinking. Why on earth would you want to keep in practice for smoking? Just in case you weren't sure you were going to die and wanted to make sure? I am sure Phillip Morris would love to have you as an employee!

I used to smoke quite a lot of high tar ciggarettes, about 20 or so a day, I realized this was bad for me and tried to quit. However that was really hard and turned me into a complete psycho. Not nice for me or my boyfriend who has to live with me. Also I craved loads of fatty comforting food, which is also really bad for you. Anyway, I now smoke about one low tar ciggarette a day which keeps me sane and away from bad food. So in my case I think smoking is better for my health than not smoking.
