Yes.

Statistically, the most common congenitally missing teeth are wisdoms, followed by upper lateral incisors.

If in doubt, have your dentist take a panoramic X-ray. It will show any impacted/unerupted wisdoms.

YES, IT'S POSSIBLE TO BE MISSING THE REST OF THE WISDOM TEETH. THE MISSING OF 1 OR MORE TEETH IS NOT UNUSUAL, BUT CHECK WITH YOUR DENTIST THAT IT'S REALLY ABSENT AND NOT HIDING UNDER THE GUM HORIZONTALLY.

yup.. if it grows horizontaly you should have it surgically removed. i had both of my wisdom teeth removed because both of them grew horizontaly and the dentist said that it might cause a hole in my jaw because it keeps grinding on my cheeks.
