What happens to your come bet AFTER the shooter rolls the point?

eg: Shooter Rolls point (8)
You make a come bet
shooter rolls 6 (your come bet is 6)
then shooter rolls 8.

What happens to your come bet, do you get your money back or does it stay there until the shooters next come out roll, or do you have the option to take the money back or do you lose?

The point for the come bet will become the old point for the line bet.

Example:

Assume the point was 9. You put out a bet on the come and the shooter rolls a 9. The dealer will move your come bet to the "9" on the layout. You will win the bet if another 9 is rolled before a 7 is rolled. You will lose the bet if a seven is rolled before another 9 is rolled.

It does not matter that 9 was point before the roll.

I agree fully with zman492. Also wanted to mention that the odds bet on your come bet is usually not in play on the come out roll, but you can tell the dealer that you want the odds bet to be in play.

You keep going till that person craps or they hit the point that was your come bet point.
