1) Make a homemade cd of his favorite songs or songs you both like and give it to him, or a memory slide show DVD.
2) Praise him behind his back and in front of his face to his friends.
3) Check his personal hygiene supplies like shaving cream or school supplies and provide it right when he thinks he ran out.
4) Get him a new football or basketball or something he uses..like a wallet, keychain..
5) Write a poem or put a song to music for him.
6) Get a group of your friends to put on a skit showing off the best of how he acts and how you feel about him.
7) Cook his favorite dinner /cookies of course or send him a colorful fruit basket.
8) Do his homework but dont make that a habit.
9) Make him a myspace and add all his friends.
10) Throw a surprise BYOB party in his honor just because.
11) Figure out something he is missing but needs.. like if he complains about not enough light,,, get him a light or something that makes his life easier....
12) Get a long term supply of his favorite drink like if he likes Gatorade,..make sure he is not going to run out soon....
13) Take him on a nature hike.
14) Do something that makes him look good...like get him a cool present to give his Mother or Father .... by getting the inside scoop and following thru..

How about a nice hand written poem that expresses you feelings to him. Incorporate into it some of the enjoyable moments you two have shared together and go to a dollar store for a cheap frame to put it in. I believe that this personal gift will mean more than if you were to spend a million bucks on him. Good luck and happy writing.

Oh, in college a friend planned a camping adventure for his girlfriend (she was kind of high maintenance and was not thrilled about sleeping outside). He set up a tent in her livingroom, brought in some logs, hung stars from the ceiling, and planned a picnic. She really appreciated it. I think you need to think about what he would like and then create an idea around that. There are tons of things you can do for little or no cost and they are much more thoughtful then some expensive, over-the-top ideas.
