i used to like this guy about 7 years ago and on the last day of school his friend told me that he actually like me too. he didnt come back the next year because he moved away. i had no way to verify if this was true. just today i searched his name on myspace and found his profile. should i ask him if he remembers me?

I learned some advice when I was growing up.

"You can never go back again."

In short, don't waste going back 7 years ago, hoping to rekindle what never was in the first place.

Continue moving ahead with your life.

Yes. Making a connection is fine - no harm in that. If he remembers you - then you can see where that goes - maybe a friend - maybe more. If he doesn't remember you - then maybe you can just add a new friend to your myspace list.

You can try, but don't assume he remembers. It's been seven years after all. Maybe you could try sending a message like "You look familiar. Have we ever gone to school together?"

Go for it.
Just don't sound like you are looking for him, come off like omg you have a myspace profile.
Good Luck:)

just see if he remembers you. if so, then ask if you can build a closer friendship with each other.
