Pinay, I am proud to announce that I just wed the lady whom I've maintained a long distance relationship with for the past 3 years. We lived 2.5 hours apart and keep in contact via phone and internet on a daily basis and would see each other every weekend. When we first met we both swore that we'd never remarry, but never is a long time. When we realized that we were meant for one and other the only thing we could do was forget about what we had said to each other a few years ago. Certainly long distance is more difficult than living closer to each other but the rewards are so worth it.

No that never works. It sounds good. It makes it easier to move. But really your not going to visit.
You will call alot in the beggining then less and less. Then you will meet someone else and never even break up with the long distance person.

Speaking out of expereince, long distance relationship is harder then the usual one. You need a long of patience and understanding. Oh yeah and most of all you need to sacrifice allot. If you are the type that is insecure, this is definately not for you.

Hell no.....why invest all your time on a long distance relationship..you'll never see the other person enough. You'll get stressed out then you'll start asking lame questions on YA for help.

Find someone local to date.

It depends. If a couple really cares for each other and they are willing to wait for each other it shows how true their feelings for each other are. It also takes a lot of strength of will by both parties.

If a couple fails to be able to wait for each other it just means that perhaps temptation got in their path.

No. It isn't, it never was, and it never will be a good thing.

I know this from personal experience. Two of those relationships didn't work for me.

in my opinion, it all depends on how far away the person is, and how well you think you know them. if you really like them, and dont mind never being able to see them, i say go ahead. but be ready to deal with the lonliness that will acompany the relationship.
