at 40+ miles per hr it misses machine was put on it and read #5 injector so i changed plugs, wires, didt cap, rotor button, #5 injector, and also added gas line fuil injector fluid but still having same problem the check engine light comes on. could this be some thing to do with fuel? please help ready to trash it.

The injectors are actuated by transisters in the computor itself.Unless #5 is shorting out or has a broken wire in that circuit your computor could be bad.Check the OHMs resistence of each injector if one of them has a lot higher resistence,more than likely that will be the bad one.

If the injector failed the second time, it could be the engine computer or a bad wire to the injector. Swap the injector in 5 and 3 and see if 5 still comes up bad. If it works and 3 is bad, you just got a bad injector

I had the same problem but with injector number 3, turns out injector 3 and cylinder 3 are not the same, I let the dealer replace the CORRECT number 3 and all was good
