If you reduce the weight training your muscles will get smaller. if you run distance you will lose weight unless you eat enough to replace all of the calories you burn. In 6 months you could lose a lot of weight with marathon training. I do someone who was a very large weight lifter who became a distance runner and lost what looked like a complete body. He went from huge to my size. So, you could lose a lot of weight in 6 months. If I were you I would not worry about weight just run how you feel and still lift to keep muscle strength and tone, because it takes muscles to run, not big muscles like sprinters, but muscles. You have plenty of time to be ready for a Feb. marathon.

I've run with guys who looked like Arnold, so I don't think you can predict 100% what will happen.
I suspect you will slack off on the heavy iron and thus transition slowly to a slimmer silhouette. But you should still do some iron to maintain strength and muscle tone. Expect some slimming.
I think Feb is too early to do a marathon unless you ALREADY have a solid running base. My suggestion is to shoot for a marathon in Oct, Nov, Dec 2008. From now to Feb, concentrate on slowly building a solid running base of 15-20 miles per week, then decide on the marathon in Feb.
My worry is that you will try to train too hard, run too many miles, increase mileage too fast, and become a sad injury statistic of guys who got hurt, discouraged, and quit. For example, I started running, and after 2 weeks my ankles became swollen and sore. 2 weeks on the sideline until the swelling went down. Another example, I was sidelined for a month in Aug 1988 before the SA Marathon in Nov 1988 due to an overuse injury (I think it was a stress fracture in my leg).
