The third major characteristic of God - "infinitude" - is the catchall, the universal modifier of Christian theology. God is not merely a being; he is infinite being. God is not merely good; he is infinite goodness. God is not merely wise; he is infinite wisdom. And so on down the list. God is exaggeration run amuck.

Hindus have 30 crores of gods - 300 million deities. Christians believe in no gods but one, atheists believe in no gods at all. Christians and atheists are essentially indistinguishable. Statistically, the Judeo-Christian god does not exist.

In the whole of human history across the entire planet not one deity has volunteered Novocain. It is a telling omission.
