Why does it feel good when people hate me??

Question

I really feel special when people take time out of their day to write hateful thing about my skin color. I'm just so bashing..=)
Am I really that important to every day people; that they stop what they are doing, and spend day after day discussing my delightful skin color?? YES, I am. =)

My answer to this is my favourite quote from Oscar Wilde, that famous playwrite of Late Victorian England who lived quite the life of debauchery by the standards of those times and did 2 years for practicing a gay liestyle.

" The only thing more horrifying than being talked about is not being talked about at all! "

So it is better to have even negative publicity than none at all where you are so unimportant people never notice you.

Kids will even use negative attention to get attention or as they see it, love, acknowledgment that they live and have identity. Identity crisis is when you don't know who you are or don't have a sense of being someone, being real. They don't feel like they exist unless something outside tells them or they feel like nobody. Being somebody is so emphasized. It's really better not to try to be somebody, an ego is so heavy. If you see your own worth clearly, intuitively, you don't care about what others think to an unreasonable degree. I guess that's narcesism. Self centereness comes out in both boastfulness or shyness. The confussion is in that self worth is inside in your intuitive sense. The problem is inside and the solution is inside. Using judgmental words makes you judge yourself instead of accepting the inside so the outside is an escape. We start being afraid of ourselves inside when we first start having nightmares or bad experiences in life. Maturity and experience usually teaches us that they are unreal and we don't get caught up in fears so easily. Most of our programming is unconscious and slants all we think, see and do. The intuition and objective thinking gets around all that. Emotional Intelligence opens up our feelings and understanding of them. It's used in in everything from business seminars to sports.

It just means you like attention. Most people that LIKE attention get bad attention. It isn't a bad thing, but it just means you like it when people think about you or talk about you. You have a need to succeed, and you feel that when people talk about you, you are getting well known.

i know, right! i'm a "loser" at school and i LOVE it when people tear me apart and tell me how "weird" and how i'm such a "loser" and all that. also, i love it when people spend time trying to make me feel bad haha
