According to Jesus in Matthew 7:21-23 "Matthew 7:21-23 "Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. 22 Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ 23 And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew YOU! Get away from me, YOU workers of lawlessness"

So if heaven is not your choice then the lake of fire is the one.

Yes. True Christians are aware that most will not have a heavenly hope; the "larger crowd or flock" has an earthly hope. The 144,000 have already been chosen with the seal of God on their foreheads for heaven. This is because God saw something in them taken from earth for their rule in heaven with the other spiritual creatures including Jesus Christ. I have an earthly hope for salvation and everlasting life which is just fine with me. One of things I cannot wait to do after Armageddon is to take a nap in between a huge lion and grizzly bear not to have to worry about them eating me alive as there will be no more death and destruction, and the animals again, will be one with peace. This is how the earth will be once again after Armageddon has destroyed all the wicked in the earth now.

I do not have a hope of being in hell, that is, the common grave for mankind. It is not a place where you roast and burn forever. This is a lie that is preached amidst many churches, a false teaching, that the false religions leaders teach that scares people for various reasons.

My dad always taught me about hell fire and he'd throw his hands up in the air and make all sorts of frightening faces, but I knew then because he was an abuser, a horrific man who loved to discipline his children in less than humane ways just because he thought he needed to abuse us, that his preaching hell fire and damnation for eternity was untrue. When he would rant and rave and seemingly brag over "HELL FIRE" I grew distant from him because I could see that there was something wrong with that thinking----that thinking of how our gracious loving God would cause mankind to burn and roast in a dungeon forever and ever. That got me wondering "Just what is the truth"? I was able to study and with much prayer and guidance from those that truly love Godly standards, and take his word seriously, that in fact hell was the common grave for mankind.

Jesus once said, "Please don't leave me in hell" as he prayed to his Father. Did this mean he was in a place roasting and burning? Intelligent ones who yearn for truth can figure this one out. Bless you.

Remember is was the professing, religious people of the day who crucified Christ, not the sinners. Jesus condemned the religious while eating with prostitutes, publicans and sinners.

Most Christians are just Pharisees, using the shield of God as a weapon against those they already disliked.

They, obviously, never met Jesus. The first step in knowing Jesus is meeting him. And Jesus said that no man comes to the Father, but by me.

I feel sorry for the Christians who assume they are saved because they go to church, hate gays, think they are good enough.

These are the ones that will spend eternity in hell.

Sadly, you are absolutely correct. There are many people today who profess to be believers, yet have never had a legitimate salvation experience. The Bible makes it clear that those who truly believe will be known by their fruits, and James said that "faith without works is dead."

When a person truly accepts Christ as their Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit takes up resident in their heart and the natural result is growth and spiritual fruit. Anyone who claims to be a believer, but still leads a life of sin, should seriously question whether or not they truly accepted Christ in the first place.

Hey Moises, I respect you for asking this question, I don't want to repeat what everyone here has already. I am aware and I do agree, but I must ask, is it true that you are a jehovas witness? because they do NOT believe that they are saved by grace as the Bible, they believe that they will only get into heaven by good works, which is not what the holy bible teaches. If you're not a JW, then I am relieved. God bless and have a great day.

Glad to hear you say that, Moses, because you and most of the Israelites that left Egypt for the promised land did not make Canaan.

Likewise, Jesus said strait is the gate and narrow the way to eternity, and few there will be who find it.

Unfortunately, most of the world transgresses God´s law, and the Bible is still the world´s best selling yet most unread book.

Many interpret God´s Word in a manner to put transgressors in Heaven, but Jesus and John both started the Gospel with the words ¨REPENT.¨

Jesus said it so well in his sermon on the mount: Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. (Matthew 5:5) This was nearly a direct quote from the Psalms 37:11But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
I look forward to being among the great crowd that will inherit the earth and live in peace forever.(Psalms 37:29)

Well...none of us should judge whether anyone else is going to be in heaven or anywhere else! That is God's job! Whether any of us are going to with God, is for us to choose, by our actions. Are we trying to learn about our Salvation? How do we treat others? Do we observe the Commandments? Do we worship Christ?
As for the "lake of fire"...that only occurs after the Resurrection, when at that time, the majority of humans who have not chosen to follow God in their first lifetime, are given an opportunity to learn God's ways, and follow Him. After awhile, IF they choose to go back to their old ways, they will be destroyed in the lake of fire, They will be consumed by fire; burnt up completely, as if they never existed.
Check it out in your Bible!

True, because not everyone who says that they are a Christian actually IS one. Christianity is founded on a system of belief, in that the Christian must believe, truly believe in the death and resurrection of Christ. It is obviously something that is hard to understand and accept, the fact that God came to Earth and died, much less that he got up and went back to Heaven after he died, but that's where knowledge and faith differ; to KNOW Christ is not the same thing as to BELIEVE in Christ and what he did. That's what that verse refers to.
