Is this something preached by all Christian denominations, or is it just limited to the more charismatic faiths?

It's been my experience that mainly the charismatic denominations preach most about spiritual warfare; none of the churches in the other denominations I've ever been in have said much if anything about it.
My understanding of it at this point is that we are under attack at all times by demonic forces, not just Satan, but also demons. I've heard that a person who has accepted Christ cannot be possessed by a demon but they can be oppressed. Demonic oppression can be anything that pulls us from our relationship with God--temptations, depression, low self esteem, temper, whatever. These beings know your weaknesses and can play upon those weaknesses to draw you away from Christ. That is why in Ephesians Paul talks about putting on the full armor of God, meaning that each day we have to spend time in prayer and in the Bible so that we can handle the things that come at us.
I know that's not much, but at this point that's my understanding of it.

Since the Bible teaches it. If a denomination is NOT, then you are in the wrong church.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ...

Ephesians 6:14-17
Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;

It's mentioned more by the Charismatics...but it's a biblical concept that all Christians need to be aware of. St. Paul says:

(Ephesians 6:12)

6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

My dear it is taught in the Holy Bible, check Eph. 6. It talks about the armor of God and spiritual warfare.

This has nothing to do with denominations...it has to do with what the Holy Bible teaches.

I have always thought of spirituality as having more surrender about it than warfare.

Limited. Many "mainline" denominations can't even wrap their minds around the concept of spiritual beings.

It is the excuse made to disregard the logical thought process that would question religious beliefs and teachings.

Spiritual warfare is silly, honey. We're all the same.

Then again, just by talking about spirit, do you classify that as spiritual warfare?
