If the Catholic Church did happen to rule the world, at least Jesus would be in charge.

He should be so Blessed that the Catholics ruled the world. He spouts more hatred here than anybody and I wonder how many times he will be reported for the spam he continually attaches to his posts. For one that is so RULE conscious, I wonder why he doesn't follow these rules?

Catholics are gaining followers by leaps and bounds because of the crap that some of the CHURCHES are starting to accept---gay marriage, women priests now even one espouses Islam as well as Christianity. People are starting to see just what kind of goofy counseling these people are getting.

The mission of the Church is to proclaim and establish the Kingdom of God begun by Jesus Christ among all peoples.

The Church constitutes on earth the seed and beginning of this saving Kingdom.

This does not include the Pope ruling the world. In fact, Church leaders are barred from political office by Church (Canon) law, not civil law.

The Church is primarily a spiritual body. But she is also a moral teacher.

If people are going to make moral issues into political ones then they should not complain about the Church using its freedoms of speech and religion.

The Church has been teaching the world what it believes God thinks is right and wrong for almost 2,000 years.

The Church looks to protect human dignity and human rights and does not for look for political power. Church leaders are barred from political office by Church law (not civil law).

Jesus said, "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:18-20)

The Catholic Church has been teaching world governments what it believes is right and wrong since the ancient Romans stopped persecuting it and long before anyone heard of the freedom of speech.

The Catholic Church protested about the blood sports in the Roman Colosseum and they were stopped.

The Catholic Church supported the Polish Solidarity movement and the Soviet Union fell apart.

I don't think the Church is going to (or should) stop teaching the world governments what is right or wrong now.

Remember the Catholic Church proposes. It does not impose.

With love in Christ.

Pastor Billy says: well if they are it's because God's truth conquers all ! :D of course Pastor Art doesn't see it that way. Art belongs to the Independent church movement "house church" type thing. These groups even if the pastor becomes successful with his church building usually dies out after only one generation as they have a great aversion to organization.

Oh BTW agreeable it's a falsehood that Catholicism is not increasing :D

I dont agree with "pastor art" at all. The only thing the Catholic Church is trying to do is to bring all to Jesus. They preach the truth and I know this for a fact. I have been to so many pastor art" type churches it is really sad the way they are misleading their followers.

he says alot of things, pay no heed to any one of them!!!! hopefully other non catholics are atleast sensible enough to ignore them aswell. besides the world would be a much more wonderfull place if catholics controlled the world,

what would be wrong?
no abortions an unspeakalbe evil would be done away with.
no euthonasia(sp?) another unspeakable atrocity
more money for charities,hospitals,missionaries...........

more importantly the word and spirit of truth would illuminate the world to the joy of the most high.

The Catholic Church is not trying to rule the world because it is not "of this world". It is merely "in the world".

The reason the Church is "in the world" is, not to rule the world but, to save it.

As far as Christians go, Catholics are much nicer and far more tolerant. It's the fundies who want to rule the world

Catholics are losing followers, honey. So, I don't think that is true.

The other side is there are extremists in all religions trying to rule the world.

Every religion thinks that every other religion is trying to "take over". It's nothing more than petty paranoia.
