Well, right now I'm almost 16 and about 130 pounds [5'6"]
I used to be like 150-60 or something like that, I can't remember.
I went on a diet and lost alot of weight..now I'm scared of gaining it back lol.
I exercise plenty everyday.
But my question is...as I get older [like once I marry, and have a job] if I don't have time to exercise as much as I am now..does that mean I will gain weight?

I highly doubt I'll get back to where I was..I'd eat so much junk and tons of rice and beans..I eat about half of that now.

But does that mean I'll end up gainging weight..or not necessarily?

Thanks! =]

Some people put on weight as they get older, and some people lose it. It all depends on your lifestyle. If you eat healthy, exercise regularly, and just take care of yourself, I'm sure your weight will stay close to what it is now.

I don't know how much you exercise, but I think even 30 minutes a day is fine.

You won't necessarily gain back that weight. It's really going to be the balance of how many calories you are eating versus how many you are burning in a day. As you get older your metabolism will likely slow, but that doesn't mean you'll just start gaining weight. You can control what you eat and still exercise, even if you don't have as much time as you do now. It shouldn't be something you are worried about at this point, but just maintain a healthy diet, don't starve yourself (which is going to throw a wrench into the "gears" of your metabolism), and get some good exercise regularly.

Well, most people just end up gaining weight when they are older. You'll be growing, you might have more muscle tone, and after you get about 30 years old or so, your metabolism may slow down and you'll start carrying more weight in your hip area. It's perfectly normal and you will still be in proportion and you can look thin and healthy if you keep up a healthy lifestyle.

But yeah, if your diet changes (you start eating more), and you exercise less, eventually you'll gain weight.

A lot of people like to get a range of weights they are comfortable of being at. They weigh themselves once a week at the same time (usually in the morning, naked), and if they end up going above their range of weight by even one pound, they reel themselves back in by being more mindful with their calories and exercise until the scale goes back down again.

Catching yourself before you gain too much weight will keep you from the daunting task of needing to lose 30-40 pounds, which can take a long time.

I think if you remain as conscious about eating right then you won't gain weight. Don't fall into the trap of fixing too many "goodies" for you husband and kiddies. Because if you're like me, you will always finish up the last of the cookies, brownies, etc. Try to make exercising a part of your basic life style. Sounds like you already are integrating it into what you do. Walk when you can, take the stairs instead of the elevator, do vigorous yard work. You can keep that weight off! Good luck!

The issue is here is to control what you eat and how much you eat. As far as exercising goes, it's easy enough. Rules:
1. Never ride when you can walk.
2. Take the stairs instead of the elevator whenever possible.
3. Take a vigorous walk a few times a week.
These simple measures will help you control your weight.

It just depends on the ratio of exercising to amount of food you consume. If you keep exercising daily and watch what you eat, you will stay where you are. Remember, if you get back to 150 and you aren't visibly overweight, it's just muscle. Muscle is much heavier than fat, so I suppose that's why I'm 270 yet I am 2/3 the size of this 210lbs guy. I am visibly overweight, and so is he, but he looks much bigger than me. Anyway, as long as you keep excercising, you will be fine.

Most people's metabolism slows down as they age. When I was a kid, I could eat anything and everything and not gain an ounce. Not so anymore. The more laid back your lifestyle is, the fewer calories you need to maintain. If you can't exercise to burn off the calories, just don't eat as many.
