God doesn't expect you to be perfect. He just expects you to try and do your best. If you fall, get back up over and over again. You're not ever going to be like God until you are in heavan. He is a forgiver who will never give up on you.

You are his child born innocent into this world and you are only human. You learn and grow every time you face challenges succesfully. He is there to help you back up. Don't worry about it. The fact that it still means something to you and is worth trying means it's not too late.

Maybe it's like going on a diet, the more you tell yourself you can't have cake, the more you think about cake. This could take some kind of compromise.

Besides, aren't you supposed to pray in private? We're not God.

You are human, and part of human nature is to covet what we are not allowed to have or do. When we sin, we feel both good and bad; good that we are doing something wrong and not getting caught, and bad because we know what we are doing is wrong. This is the true battle of good vs evil. Each one of us, on a daily basis, fights the battle of good vs evil and each one of us contributes some part, good or bad, to the ultimate battle. If you do something and know in your heart that if others knew what you were doing would bring shame on your or your family, then you should not do it. To do something you know is wrong is childish, selfish and self-destructive. If you really want to be closer to God, then listen less to your heart's desire and more to the source of your heart's true love of God. Being good is not always easy, nor is doing the right thing. However, the benefit is that although you will not enjoy instant gratification, your long term gratification and lack of guilt will far outweigh the superficial pleasures you learn to live without. God forgives the honest soul who truly asks forgiveness by changing their ways. To ask forgiveness and then repeat the sin is to ask for permission to sin. Ask for forgiveness by taking the right path and your former sins will be truly absolved.

Paul struggled the same dilema as you : the things i want to do it, i do it not, but the things i do not want to do, i do it! what a wretched man i am! who could deliver me from this? Thanks to be GOd thru Jesus Christ my Lord!

Just remember, Jesus was the one who could condemn the woman caught in adultery when the pharisees wanted to stone her. He asked the crowd : who is without sin cast the 1st stone, and one by one all left except Jesus.

Jesus could condemn her....but He would not. Instead, He looked into the woman's eye with love and said : Neither do i condemn you, go & sin no more!

We as believers have been forgiven much...thus we will love the Lord much...and if we do fall sometimes, there is therefore now no comdemnation to those who are in Christ!!

We have been totally forgiven...does it make u wanna go sin?
When we know that God would not condemn us, then we would have the power to sin not.!

When Jesus Christ died on the cross for you, He took upon Himself the punishment for every sin you have ever committed—or ever will commit. God's mercy is infinite! This is why the Bible says, "As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us" (Psalm 103:12).

Does this mean that it doesn't matter how we live, or that we don't need to confess our sins and seek His forgiveness when we do wrong? No, certainly not. God is holy and pure, and sin is an offense to Him. When we sin, we dishonor Him and act as if we are more important than He is. Sin also cuts us off from God and breaks our fellowship with Him. The Bible warns, "If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened" (Psalm 66:18).

But God still loves us even when we sin and yearns for us to come to Him and seek His forgiveness. Don't ever doubt His love, and don't ever doubt His willingness to forgive us when we truly repent! God loves you so much that His Son was willing to die on the cross for you.

Have you opened your heart to Christ? Make sure of your commitment to Him. Then ask Him to help you conquer those things that keep pulling you down. You can't conquer them in your own strength—but with Christ's help you can. Thank Him for His mercy, and turn to Him each day for the power to overcome sin.

The mere fact that you have the desire not to be a sinner is still a proof that you are a child of GOD.....the reason why you keep on sinning is because you are so used to it and that you are in bondage with the enemy.... you have allowed the enemy to take hold of your life that is why, giving him the permisssion to have something to do with your life is also giving the authority over your life.....same thing being an obedient child of GOD....if you are in tune with GOD ...GOD has a hold of you and he will never allow you to be destroyed or simply fall for a sin...because he will take care of you...he will show you signs and the HOLY SPIRIT will give that "GUT FEELING" simply to let you know that HE is warning you of what is about to happen...if you get the feeling of being scared, don't do it.....anything that is of GOD's will always give you a serene feeling..if you get this feeling go ahead and do it......talk everyday to GOD ask for forgiveness and I will pray that you be delivered from the bondage you are in....rebuke the enemy and his works and obey GOD's commandments with true convictions and life will be worth living on earth....remember, man's time on earth is limited one minute lost is one minute gone forever.....I will pray for you...

Paul said "the things I don't want to do , I find myself doing",We need Jesus not only to forgive us, but to keep us.
The only way you can overcome sin , is through the Word.
Study your Word every day and you will find your fleshly wishes diminishing and your spirit will rise up strong.
Do you have a church family, that can help you grow in the Lord. If not , you need one, pray and God will show you the way.

Be good for the goodness sake, not for any specific religion or for any specific god. Not only try to be, but be. Most of us can agree on generally what's right and what's wrong. Religion sets a guide for us to use as a reference point, to make sure we remain good. When you reallize your sins, that's a good thing in itself since it shows you are conscious of your actions and you compare them with the reference points set out by religion. It shows that you are keeping your actions in check, which is excellent. Improving ourselves is a gradual process; we are all fallible. Reallizing it when we are wrong is a good start to change within ourselves, to be better and better human beings every single day. Perfection is hard to achieve, and is not practical, but the urge to be sinless is commendable.

So don't worry!

You have a choice to make. The word of God says that there is no condemnation to those who are in Chrisit Jesus. However, you've got to repent--which means turning away from evil and turn to God. Just because we are under grace does not mean that we have license to keep sinning and it is alright. There are consequences. Choose life and with life--choose God. Let Him purify you of everything that is not of Him so that you will walk in his blessings and not cursings.

Jesus loves you more than anything in the world. He is merciful and loving. He will forgive you and save you. Just surrender your wild spirit to Him. He is calling you. Pray. Jesus will forgive. He already has and forgotten your sins.
