The Army and The Marines there usually the branches doing all the big combat and recon missons. First it's the Marines and the Army is the back up in combat.

here is the way that the different "services" have been explained to me. and i use this analogy anytime i get the chance. additionally if your offended by the "S" word then dont read this....
the marines take S#@!
the army keppes S#@!
the navy floats with S#@!
the air force flys S#@!
the nat'l guard does S#@!
and any reserves is S#@!
before im bogged down by all you active/guard/reserves guys out there ... c'mon its just a joke and its kinda funny if you twist it to you own particular branch.
