i been wit my boyfriend for a year now. he still tells me he loves more than ever and i love him too and says he wants to be with me... but the other day out of the blue he came up wit wanting a break cause ppl are tellin him that to get deep into a relationship cause thats what happened to them and they not happy now. he startin to think this will happen to him. i know its scary to think about being tied down with someone but you have to take a risk i think. i willing to take it but he not so sure. i letting him take his break. he figures that if he has time to himself it help him think if he wants to be in deep relationship or that maybe he too young for that. ..wat u think, was i right???.. giving him his space do you think he want to be tied down with me....cause he still telling me he loves me and wants to be with me....please help.. im confused as to what to think or do

Umm, I guess it was right of you to "give him the space he wants"...you would expect him to do the same if you needed/wanted space.
It's unfortunate that he feels he needs to listen to other ppl and their experiences in love* to make him feel like perhaps he should take a break.
If he loves you..he will be back. He will miss you too much and not want to be single , having to go to bars or places to meet up with other women..I'm sure that's not what he wants. Sounds like you two have been happy for a year now,..until someone mentioned to not be in a deep relationship cuz it'll break his heart. That's crazy* But...I guess if he wants to explore that option, and take a break from you.....there's not much you can do other than respect that. Hopefullly when he feels he's had a taste of the single life and would prefer to be in a meaningful relationship....hopefully for his sake..you're still there waiting for him~*
Best Wishes*
ps> next time you talk with him, suggest that he learns to make his own decisions and not follow what others tell him to do* You never know what you have ,...until it's too late*

after a years time he doesn't want to settle down with you. that's tell in' me from a mans point of view. either he wants his cake, and eat it to, or he just might be afraid of commitment. don't waist your time while he takes his time. maybe you ll just need to be friends. but sit him down, and you ll come to a conclusion.
