My grandmother has cancer and has a limited number of days left. I am heart broken. My parents think my brother is so close to her and that im not. But i am, there sending my brother to see her on her last days, i dont get to go only him and my dad. I have told them everything but they dont understand. To show my respect for my grandmother i want to sing her a song, But i dont know how to ask, if they havent cared about all the other things, why would they care now? Does anybody have any suggestions on how i could ask? i would deeply appreciate it. Thanks.

My grandmother lives across the country, so its not that easy. But when i said i want to sing her a song i meant at her funeral. i have been thinking about it for a long time. And i know that she would like it. i just dont know if anybody else knows that.

I'm really sorry about your grandmother. tell your parents that if you don't get to see your gran, and sing her the song, you'll remember it for the rest of your life, and you don't want to carry such a big regret around with you. Ask your parents what you've done, to be denied showing your love and respect. Good luck and take care
Edit..just read extra details. Sing it to your gran while she's alive, not to an audience at a funeral

Well try talking to your parents again. but they might be trying to shield your feelings by not letting you see her. Wow I know what you are going through. I saw my grandpa that I was close to the day before he died. It is hard cuz you want to say goodbye but if you see it from your parents point of view they are just trying to protect you from the pain. Good Luck and Take Care.

you may not be as close to her as your brother is but she is still your grandmother and you deserve to spend as much time with her as anyone else. she deserves to see what her grand daughter has to say. let your parents know how you feel. your about to lose her so do something now before you regret it later.

hope everything works out well.

She only has a little time left. If you want to sing a song to her, don't let ANYTHING stop you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You will regret it for the rest of your own life and she will never get to hear your heart.

If you can't go and see her ask if you can call her and have someone hold the phone to her ear as you sing. Best wishes!

Sometimes it takes a litle more effort on your part... Send her flowers, call her, write somethng to be read to her do something that you can do on your own this will show that no matter what you want to honer her.
