The man wrote children's books (a dozen of them in fact) the fact that one of them in your view insults Islam and as such he should be condemned is ridiculous.

"The Satanic Verses" was a fiction novel. A work of fantasy. You sound like a Christian ranting about the Divinci Codes.

David Irving on the other hand is a person that tried to pass off propaganda as History. The two cannot be compared

Herr Irvine is a spineless @ssh0le who denied what everyone else knows to be true, he was discredited, sued, and now lives in his own little Teutonic utopia in his mind,
The sooner he meets his maker and is dispatched "Downstairs " where he can meet his Fuhrer the better.
An honour ? I wouldn't give him the gift of Oxygen !!!

Irvine is a pathetic pseudo-historian who denied the holocaust.
Rushdie is a talented, award winning, critically acclaimed author, who wrote a book that stupid theists found offencive without reading it because their imans and mullahs told them to.

Don't compare the two, silly person.

A knighthood is just a worthless bauble, but people should listen to what Mr. Irvine has to say before screaming abuse at him. He is not the only academic to question the "facts" about the holocaust
